Imagine yourself in a college where you are not allowed to access social media website Digg.com and the site has been blocked by your college authorities. Or, if you are in your office and want to enjoy digg’s news without ever letting your boss know about. Then, here is a way to do so. This can be achieved by accessing mirrors on the same web servers that actually host digg.com website.
The secret is of using tmpnetwork.com, a mirror on the same web server that hosts Digg’s website. Now if you would like to access digg stories secretly from your office or college without letting your IT department know about it, just replace the word ‘digg’ with ‘tmpnetwork’ in the URL.
Here is how it will be done:
Suppose, you want to see science stories of digg. The URL of science stories page on digg is http://digg.com/science. Now just change the word ‘digg’ with ‘tmpnetwork’ to get the following URL- http://tmpnetwork.com/science.
The tmpnetwork URL will take you to the same page as that of digg. However, the images, javascript and css files will be saved from www.tmpnetwork.com and your boss or college IT department will never know what you dugg on digg.
