twitter How to Send Welcome Note to Your Twitter Followers AutomaticallyIf you are my twitter follower, you would have noticed that when you started following me, you got a welcome not within 24 hours from me to inform you that I welcome your twitter presence. I usually get 1 to 10 new followers a day and sometimes it gets over 200 a day. Ya, I am serious. You can visit twittercounter for checking out my twitter stats, if you need to confirm. Now I was asked by one of my blog readers who is my twitter follower also, about sending automatic welcome notes.

I always thought that this was something very usual and every one knew. I undertook a test and followed 100 people (from those who followed me). I waited for 24 hours and got just 13 welcome notes. It means that only 13% of the people I followed knew about automatically sending a welcome note. I asked one of my friend to perform the same test and I got the same result. He got just 19 welcome notes from 105 people he followed. This means that less  20% people are either unaware of how to use this service or they do not want to use. In certainty, it is their ignorance about this tool otherwise they would have never missed a tool which lays the foundation of your social edifice.

Now without sticking more to stats, here is how to send automatic welcome note to your followers -

1. Register at Tweetlater.com

2. Login to the account panel.

3. Add your twitter account to Tweetlater.com

4. You will see “Edit/Automate My Twitter Account” Page

5. Under subpage – “Optional Twitter Account Automation”, enter a welcome message in about 120 characters and save.

6. You are all done. Now your new followers will get a welcome not within 24 hours from the tie they start following you.

Tweetlater also provides you with other features such as checking @ replies. This tool is very beneficial if you are following many people on twitter.  You can also check to unfollow those who unfollow you,  from the ‘edit / automate my twitter account’ page. You can also schedule tweets using TweetLater.com.

Tweetlater, in short,  provides you with all the tools one desires while working on twitter.

Hello,

I am trying to utilize tweetlater but currently the site says there is an issue with API and Tweeter. As a result, their service has been temporarily stalled and you can not send welcome messages at this time. What can you recommend to send welcome messages besides tweetlater?

Thanks,

David
