Skype v2.5 Beta was released around 2 months ago and now is the time for Skype Gold. Skype Gold is an improved version which is made to public. This new version of Skype claims to have fixed the bugs and errors to make VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) a more better tool for general public.
Some of the major bugs fixes include Dial pad missing when drop down arrow is activated, Delay in DTMF tones playback, Voice mail option missing in context menu, Crashing when calling in non-English ROM, Emotions misaligned in Instant messaging, Intermittently failure during installation in memory card and probably, many more .The new release also allows you to end call directly from your dial pad which is itself a great thing.
Skype team also claims to be working hard for adding more improved features to upcoming versions of Skype. The Skype 3.0 is hoped to include features such as File transfer and SMS functions that allows you to send and receive files and text messaging respectively. Skype 3.0 beta is expected to release by the end of March this year.
