Turn your iPhone into a Web Server with ServersMan

by Aditya on February 15, 2009

The Tokyo’s venture FreeBit, which is known for providing networking platform to Virtual network Operators and Internet Service Providers, has launched a new iPhone Application called ServersMan which will transform your iPhone device into a fully powered web server.

serversman Turn your iPhone into a Web Server with ServersManWith the use of ServersMan for iPhone, one can upload and download files between the remote computer and the iPhone via web browser. The good news is that if the iPhone and remote computer are on the same server, then they do not require any software to establish connection and can connect directly. However, if the iPhone and remote computer are on two different servers, you need to connect them through the use of FreeBit’s VPN software.

ServersMan@iPhone is a free utility and will not cost any thing. At the moment it is available only in the Japanese App Store. However, it is expected that an English version will be released in March and also a version for Windows Mobile devices will be available later.

You have a good blog here with perfect content. I see that your adsense shows very or say, extremely relevant and tempting ads. One can easily get convinced to click few ads (even I clicked one). Please help me with this. I have a blog but it shows very irrelevant content there. Any help would be great. Thanks Aditya

Hi, my name is Shun Fushimi and I’m a member of ServersMan team in FreeBit Corp., Japan.
Thanks for noticing ServersMan@iPhone.
BTW, we recently released version 2.0 in App Store U.S. for free!

With ServersMan@iPhone, you can use your iPhone as a Web Server.
Also you can use it as a Network File Storage too.
Both of them don’t take you more than 5 minutes.
It works on both Wi-Fi and 3G networks (unlike other similar apps!)

Moreover, version 2.0 enables multi-thread processing so your iPhone can be accessed simultaneously from many people just like usual Web Servers.

We made some demo videos of ServersMan so please see the following if you want to know how it works.

Thanks!
