The reputable British business newspaper, Financial Times has launched a new search engine called NewsSift that provides recent developments in business related topics.

According to the Financial Times, the search engine NewsSift indexes more than 4000 business news sources, ranging from blogs to newspapers. NewsSift ingests around 120,000 articles everyday at present and then applies semantic tags to each article. After ingestion and processing of articles, the search engine categorizes them into following categories – business topic, organization, place, person, and theme. This categorization greatly helps its users to look for a business information easily and fast.

NewsSift is the first of its type to refine searches on the business point of view. This new initiative is of vital help for those who seek financial information or those who would like to know tips and tricks of financial markets or those who would like to invest in stock market in this hard time of recession.
