There may be many occasions where you may need a shutdown scheduler for your PC. For instance, downloading of movies and games takes time and most of us do it by starting download at night and then we shutdown our computer in morning. Usually, the download is completed within 3 or 4 hours and your computer remains ON for at least 4 or 5 hours extra. Have you ever thought a tool that could automagically shutdown your computer at your defined date and time? Mortens ShutDown is a great toll that can help you save energy by shutting down your PC at the time and date specified by you.

There are some configuration options provided in this tool. There are many modes from which you can select the desired mode of shutting down your PC. Shutdown modes supported are log off current user only, reboot, shut down, power off and hibernate. There is an option that can be used to kill any process that may try to stop shutting down of your PC. There is also an option for setting “wait to save” before killing an application. Alternatively, you can select “no wait” for killing an application at the time of shutdown. You can also set to display a warning message before shutting down.
