Send Large Files of upto 5 GB via E-Mail using OutLook 2007 and Acrobat.com Add-on
Most of the e-mail providers provide a maximum of 10MB size files to be sent through e-mail. This issue is of great concern for those who may need to send large files of more than a gigabyte. However, the things are now change. Now you can send large files of upto 5 GB by using MS-Outlook 2007 and Acrobat.com add-on.
For this, you need Microsoft Outlook 2007 and an Acrobat.com add-on which can be downloaded by clicking here. Once you have downloaded and installed the add-on, you will see an Acrobat tab will appear on your OutLook. Under this tab, there are few buttons available such as “Upload File and Insert Link”, “Insert Link from Acrobat.com”, “Insert My Meeting Room URL”, “Sign In” and “Preferences” for selection.
Now to upload a file, you need to get login id and password from Acrobta.com by registering. Once you have registered, you will be able to upload files in ‘compose message’ section. The files you upload will be uploaded on Acrobat server and a direct download link will be inserted in your message. You can set permission of the file to be either “Open Access” or “Restricted Access”. “Open Access” means that even a non member of Acrobat.com can download your uploaded files. Whereas, “Restricted Access” means that only registered members of Acrobat.com can download the uploaded file.
The acrobat.com add-on is compatible only with MS-OutLook 2007 (old versions of Outlook are not supported).
