When you delete files from hard disk, they are not really deleted from the disk immediately. Although the previously occupied space by the files gets marked free, the file remains intact in your hard disk. In case you want to resell your hard disk or would like to give it to someone, then there are chances that the recipient of your hard disk may be exposed to your private data. So is there a way to delete your files immediately without giving any one a chance to retrieve your files later? Yes, there is a tool that can do the task for you.

Named as Disk Scrubber, the tool provides you with the facility to remove your confidential data securely in a way that it can not be retrieved by anyone later. Disk Scrubber is a freeware and has a very user-friendly GUI. You can use Disk Scrubber to delete entire disk drive to make sure that your confidential files are actually removed.

Excellent. This kind of tool is always nice. I actually use TrueCrypt and have a mounted encrypted drive to store my data. But this is nice to just wipe out anything.
