If you have always been looking for inserting photo in your emails rather than sending as an attachment, the guys at Google Labs have included a wonderful feature to GMail for you. Now you do not need to send images as attachments. You can directly insert images in your e-mail content so that the recipient can view them instantly when reading your e-mail and get a clear concept of what you wish to communicate.
To activate this feature, just follow the 4 simple steps mentioned below:
1. Login to your GMail account.
2. Go to “settings”
3. Go to “labs”
4. Search for “Inserting Images” and enable it.
Once activated, you will notice an ‘image insert’ icon appeared in the GMail template that allows image insertion when composing a new email message. Just click on the icon and select an image from your hard disk or give an image URL to insert the image in your email content. There is also an option to define image size such as small, medium, large and original size which can be achieved by clicking on the image itself. It is to be noted that the icon shows up only when the message editor is rich text mode or else it won’t be displayed correctly.
Google Labs developers are constantly trying to enhance functionality of GMail and so it is requested by all it users to provide a feedback to Google labs team.

Hey there, thank you for sharing it with us. It is really something different. I love Gmail better than any other email client/SP for its labs features.
Thanks again for sharing.
