The internationally established business daily, Wall Street Journal can now be read for free on their Apple iPhone. The hundred year newspaper established by Dow Jones & Company has lately released an iPhone application which allows iPhone readers to read online content for free. This online reading content app was made available for Blackberry users in August last year and now it is time for the iPhone lovers.

For those that do not know, Wall Street Journal is not the first branded newspaper to have an iPhone application that allows free reading of online content. AP Bloomberg, CNN and New York Times are some of the newspapers that allow free online reading to iPhone users. Giving free online content to iPhone users will definitely help Wall Street Journal to extend its reach among readers internationally. This enlargement of its reader group by tapping on the worldwide popularity of Apple iPhone will help Wall Street Journal get advertisers to pay for the service and hence reduce its cost substantially and bring in some serious revenue for Wall Street Journal. In the long run, it will prove beneficial for both the readers as well as WSJ.

IPhone users who would like to taste the new WSJ application can download the Wall Street Journal 1.0 application here.
