Surf Internet more safely using free AVG LinkScanner
You sometimes might be worried or concerned that the webpage you are going to visit might contain some malicious codes or host one of such codes. If you happen to go to an infected webpage, you might click on some links and execute a malicious code that can cause serious damage to your computer. To be true, malicious codes hosted on webpages are quite tricky to avoid detection by conventional antivirus programs. To ease this situation Europe based AVG Technologies has released a free browser plugin called AVG LinkScanner.
AVG LinkScanner checks and filters those suspicious webpage that may host some malicious codes, before you enter the website. AVG LinkScanner scans and checks all the pages you type or see in search results, prior to entering a site. Google, Yahoo and MSN search results are also marked to be ‘safe or not safe’ before entering the search results. Unlike other scanning tools, AVG LinkScanner scans all pages of websites individually and not the entire website collectively. So it allows access to the site if only some pages of the website contain malicious codes. AVG LinkScanner will block access to only a particular page and not the entire website if it finds that only a page is infected.
This security tool is compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista (for both 32 bit and 64 bit). It works great with IE (6 and above) and FireFox (2 or above) browsers. To browse more safely on the internet, you can download this free AVG LinkScanner by clicking here.
