Microsoft is intensifying effort to cramp down on the pirated copies of hugely popular Windows XP Professional. Microsoft is rolling out an updated patch of Windows Genuine Advantage Notification and Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool to deactivate any machine found using a pirated copy of Windows XP Professional.
According to post by Alex Kochis, Director of Genuine Windows division on WGA blog, the new WGA Notifications update include the latest validation information including recently stolen or misused product keys and other information, such as attempts to circumvent product activation.
Also change is the installation process, where the install wizard will be presented to the user once the update has been downloaded by Automatic Updates (completely in line with AU settings) and after the next login or reboot. User will be able to choose whether to install the update in the same way as in past releases. However, users who installed the last update will simply have the validation information (new product keys etc.) be updated without their needing to go through the install process again.
WGA validation process doesn’t reduce the functionality of your computer nor did it remove any Windows component. Notifications that you might be victim of software counterfeiting are presented and these may be really annoying.

This update will crack down most of the pirated copies of windows xp professional if only there was no patch crack. sorry for microsoft. they try their best but the pirates always ruin their effort by developing a patch crack.
what is the use of this update? anyone can download thw WGA patch crack and escape WGS validation. Poor Microsoft!
