FireFox Tip: Why Bookmark when you can ‘Read It Later’?

We often tend to bookmark or copy URL of interesting sites that we find while surfing internet. The bookmarks and URL(s) are saved till we get time to read them. However, it is a human fallibility to forget about what they have bookmarked subsequently. As a result, your bookmark menu will be cluttered with loads of old bookmarks which were not brought to attention. Now here is a small app that could probably be of great help in such a case.

Named as “Read It Later”, it is a FireFox extension that provides FireFox web browser users a simple solution to the above problem. Once installed, you can right click on a webpage and select “Read this Page Later” for saving the webpage to “Read It Later” app. When you are free and have time, you can click on the “Read It Later” in the top corner of FireFox to recall saved pages and read them. Once you have read, you can click the ‘check’ icon beside webpage title to remove the webpage from “Read It Later” list.

The latest version of “Read It Later” is 0.9945 and has some very interesting features like offline reading mode, synchronize reading list between multiple computers, quickly batch a reading list just by clicking on interesting links, etc.
