How to transform your FireFox web browser to appear like Google Chrome

If you like Google Chrome’s layout but do not want to do away with the hundreds of FireFox add-ons by changing your web browser from FireFox to Google Chrome, you can use a combination of FireFox add-ons ‘Chromin Frame‘ and ‘Chrominfox‘. The combination of these add-ons will give Chrome-like look to your FireFox browser and will also impart you the ability to use other add-ons (like alexa sparky, tinyurl generator, etc.) while enjoying Chrome’s layout.

Chromin Frame places the tab bar at the top of window, and replace the title bar and window frame bringing it closer to the Chrome look. Chromifox is a bright and soft blue theme for Firefox on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X, inspired by the appearance of the Google Chrome browser and its open-source roots, Chromium.

To give your FireFox a complete Chrome look, you should download and enable both the add-ons. You can get download of Chromin Frame by clicking here and Chrominfox by clicking here.

Here is what your FireFox web browser will look like when using a combination of Chromin Frame and Chrominfox FireFox add-ons:

Another, and really simple, way to free up more viewport space in Firefox is to right click on the menu bar and uncheck the “Bookmarks Toolbar” option.
