It often happens that you are busy working in your office/home and suddenly you get a link to an interesting video by one of your peers. Normally you can do one of two things in such a situation – first, watch the video and block your work or second, continue your work and ignore the video. However, if you need to go through a midway to enjoy the video as well as continue your work, you can use the freeware named Double Vision.
Double Vision offers its users with extra visibility on media files downloaded from the internet based video sharing sites such as YouTube, Netflix, etc. Once the utility is installed and launched, you can head to video sharing website to watch videos in customizable semi-transparent video player. Users just need to click ‘Go Double Vision’ button or press hotkeys (defined by user) to toggle the semi-transparent view while other tasks will continue to run in parallel.

Double Vision has one drawback though. The Double Vision application works only with web based videos and not with the videos on your hard disk. However, it is quite useful in view of its dual display capabilities without any hardware assist as well as additional cost.
Double Vision is compatible with Windows Vista and Windows XP and consumes just around 2 MB of your hard disk space. Interested users can download this app for free from the Double Vision website.
