How to reduce RAM/Memory usage in FireFox

firefox How to reduce RAM/Memory usage in FireFoxI am a FireFox fan but I know many people who still do not like FireFox and prefer IE or other web browsers. A common hindrance faced by FireFox users is its tendency of hogging up memory. If you are using low RAM, say 256MB or lesser, then your system may hang on opening many tabs. It is due to the fact that FireFox does various internal tasks like checking for updates of themes and add-ons, scanning for viruses and such; for which it needs RAM.

RAMBack is a FireFox add-on that can be of great help to FireFox users using less RAM. Once RAMBack is installed, it automagically sends notifications to all the processes that are hindering the performance of FireFox.

RAMBack add-on is still in betas and so there may be some issues with it. However, people with 256 MB or lesser RAM reports this add-on to be helpful (review).

Download RAMBack by visiting here.
