If you are looking for a way to embed YouTube videos to your PowerPoint slides, an easy way is to use authorSTREAM. authorSTREAM is a PowerPoint plugin that allows you to search and add images from web and videos from YouTube to your PowerPoint slides.
AuthorSTREAM is completely free. Once you have downloaded and installed authorSTREAM, you will see an additional authorSTREAM item menu in your menu bar.

You can now use this authorSTREAM search function to search and add images and YouTube videos from the PowerPoint Window itself.

Once you have searched for a video, you can just drag or insert directly the selected video into your PowerPoint slide.
Besides letting you add images and YouTube videos to your slides, authorSTREAM also lets you publish your slide directly to the authorSTREAM website and share it with the world.
authorSTREAM is compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 and 2010. Interested users can download authorSTREAM plugin by clicking here.

Is there a tool that work on the MAC for that? Authorstream is an MS DOS executable so I can’t run it. Thanks.
As far as I know, there is no such tool for Mac. However, I will inquire into it and tell you if I find anything that could be of help. Thanks for taking time and having a look.

I will be looking for some utility or add-on that can do this in Open Office Impress and if I find any, I will surely be informing you about it.
