Google Wave How to: Translate Waves into your local language

by Aditya on November 19, 2009

Google Wave is an open platform and anyone with app developing skills can contribute in it to make it better. Having said so, here is a new app that I would love to share today. This app is essentially a Google Wave translation robot. Named as Aunt Rosie, it is a Google Wave robot that can translate text from one language to another.

Summoning Aunt Rosie for your translating needs is very easy. Just ping her by adding aunt-rosie@appspot.com to your Google Wave contact list and she will be at your side, ready to help ye. Now just send a new wave to her and you will see a drop down option to select a language you would like to translate your text into. Select a language and start typing and your wave would automatically get translated into the language you chose.

Aunt Rosie uses Google translator and so you can expect a descent translation. Further, as it is clear, it supports all languages supported by Google Translate.
