Most people do not know that it is possible to add emoticons and smiley in Twitter updates. Being UTF8 compatible, Twitter allows publishing of more than just basic text content. You can add whole lot of emoticons and smiley in your Twitter profile updates. In this post, I will tell you the easiest way to add emoticons and smiley to your Twitter status updates.
Now before telling you the easiest way to add emoticons and smiley to Twitter updates, here is a snapshot of a status update from my Twitter profile in which I have used 4 emoticons and smiley.
Back to the point, so how do we do this (add emoticons and smiley to Twitter updates)? Simple, Boris has created a bookmarklet which simplifies the work to a great extent..
First of all, just drag this Bookmarklet to your toolbar or bookmarks –
Now go to Twitter home and when writing an update, click the TwitterKeys bookmarklet from your bookmarks. A new web-browser Window shall popup. Copy the desired emoticon from the window (Ctrl+c) and paste it in your Twitter status update (Ctrl+v). Update you Twitter status. Easy, eh?
