The easy way to modify Creation Date and/or Modification Date of a file

When you create a file in Windows, a creation date and the last modified date is associated with that file. However, there may be situations when you need to reset or change the creation date or last modified date of a file. Though there is no such option in Windows but this does not mean that you cannot change the date of creation or date of modification of a file. A very simple utility by the name – File Touch can do this the task of modifying the creation date and the last modification date very easily.

File Touch utility has a very simple interface that allows you to change the date of creation and last modification. To use this utility, all you need to do is add files or folders into the tool and then set the date and select the dates to be modified from the right pan. By using this utility, you can change the date of creation, date of modification and the date when the file was last accessed.

This utility requires no sort of installation. Just run the executable file, fill out a simple form and then click the touch button. Besides having a user interface, File Touch also runs in a command line mode for simple batch file execution (in case you need to automate the process).

The only prerequisite for using this utility is that you need to have .NET Framework installed on your PC.
