Tweet a little more with Twonvert

Twitter’s 140 character limit makes us a good summary writer. However, we may sometimes need to write more than 140 characters to say what is on our mind. An easy way to write more in the 140 character limit is by using acronyms for some of the words – say, BRB for ‘be right back’, etc. This style of writing is generally called SMS shorthand. If you are like me and you don’t know what acronyms can be used where so as to save on the 140 characters limit, here is a nice web tool for you.
Named as Twonvert, it is a web tool which allows you to convert the original text into SMS shorthand style. This further allows you to save on characters while tweeting.

Using Twonvert is very simple and pretty straightforward. Just go to Twonvert.com and enter your tweet in the original text box. You will see it getting converted into SMS shorthand style in real time in the next window.

Besides converting text into SMS shorthand style type, Twonvert also allows you to post the converted text onto twitter directly from their website. Just enter your twitter user name and password and click on ‘submit to twitter button’.
