Microsoft and netflix announced on the past Thursday that more than a million Xbox users have downloaded and activated Netflix’s  movie service since its introduction on Xbox game console in November last year. That magically translates to more than 13,500 netfilx users a day on the gaming console.

The users have already watched over 1.5 billion minutes of streaming video on this service and are continuing. However, there has been no videos coming from Sony studio, the makers of rival PS3.

There is just movies and tv shows on the side of netflix so far for the gaming console service users. Netflix also rents video games and it would be quite pleasing for us gamers to see some real stuff for us. The logical step would definitely be allowing of game rentals. This would definitely be good for Netflix but it doesn’t seem alright for Xbox because of the loss of licensing revenue it makes from game purchase. however, if some commission sharing plan drops between the two giants, we can expect game rentals on ‘Netflix for Xbox’ soon.

• Starting January 27th, the Windows 7 page will be updated with a warning that time is running out on downloading the Windows 7 Beta and that we will be limiting downloads shortly. People will be encouraged to register and start the download of the Windows 7 Beta sooner rather than later.

• February 10th, new downloads of the Windows 7 Beta will no longer be available. People who have already started their Windows 7 Beta download and have not yet finished will still be able to finish their download and are encouraged to do so.

• February 12th, people will no longer be able to complete their download of the Windows 7 Beta. Anyone who hasn’t finished downloading the Windows 7 Beta will be unable to do so.

The only time you have to download this official release of Windows 7 Beta is till 10 Feb.,2009.  So get ahead and download the new Windows 7 beta before you miss the official release.
